In consultation with TESO, the municipalities, the province, and other parties, Rijkswaterstaat is preparing for the construction of new landing facilities for the Texel and Den Helder ferry ports.
Rijkswaterstaat is responsible for these landing facilities, which consist of the traffic bridge, the lifting towers, the fl oating jetties (traps), and the staging area. The central question in the past period was: where can the facilities best be placed, and which design fits best there ? On behalf of Rijkswaterstaat, Environmental Manager Maaike Seppen consults with all parties involved, including TESO, to make the best choice.
